Winged dragon, the original dates from the 12th century. One of the first appearances of the winged dragon which was to become very common in the medieval art of Iceland. The original of gilt bronze is preserved in the National Museum of Iceland. The pendant was found in Western Fjords of Iceland. The copy is 7/10 of actual size (5.7 x 3.5 cm). Made from sterling silver.
